It all started with him!
This is Ruben. Almost 10 years ago, he suffered a stroke that changed his life. Inspired by our brother , we created socks with phrases that motivate him to keep going . We are committed to being the first Peruvian compression sock brand that combines health, design, and a lot of motivation.
Now we do it for her too.
A few years later, in 2023, our mother also had a very similar episode, a stroke that made us redouble our efforts. She reminds us every day that happiness lies in the present and in valuing what we have today; we don't know what tomorrow will bring.
Each pair carries with it our story of resilience. Don't give up, you can do it too!
How did Vamos a Medias come about?
It all started in 2016, when our brother Rubén faced a huge challenge after suffering a stroke. The prognosis was grim. In 2020, with the pandemic upon us and expensive therapies to cover, we decided to transform adversity into action. Thus, this adventure was born: with the goal of putting ourselves in others' shoes and demonstrating that, with faith and motivation, anything is possible!
The road hasn't been easy. In March 2023, our mother suffered a stroke, and in 2024, our father passed away. We had to say goodbye to loved ones and face new health challenges within the family, but each blow brought us closer together. Today, we've turned our tears into miles.
Today we can say that this journey has been very difficult, but we didn't give up. You'll see us at every race, training session, or marathon, always with a smile and our tights on, carrying a message of hope with every stride.
Our socks don't just cover feet, they tell stories of struggle and victory. Thank you for being part of this journey and helping us continue helping!
